If you're anything like me, at some point in time you've felt the urge to move to a new city, make all new friends, and pretty much completely restart your life. If thats a possibility for you, that sounds like a dream come true, but for most people starting an entirely new life at a moments notice isn't a possibility. If that's you, there's no need to worry. There are so many small things you can do to reset your life, and help you to feel refreshed and revived, as well as fulfilled with the life you're living.
In this post, we'll explore the different steps you can take to reset all the different aspects of your life.
Set Goals:
The first and most important step in a reset is creating goals for yourself. This will give you an idea of what steps need to be taken in order to get to where you want to be. An example of this may be:
1. Consistently exercise
2. Start investing money
3. Meditate every day
4. Spend more time in nature
Now that you've set specific goals, you can figure out from there what changes need to be made to reach them. Remember, these goals don't have to be huge or dramatic. They can be as simple as drinking more water, or as large as starting a new business. It all depends on where you are in life, and what feels right.
Give Your Room a Makeover:
Sometimes all you need to feel refreshed is a good room reset. Making your room a cozy, comfortable space that you actually want to spend time in can help you feel more motivated and inspired in your daily life, and is a great starting point in a life reset.
Here are some ideas to refresh your room:
1. Lighting. There is nothing worse than harsh, fluorescent lighting right before going to bed or after waking up. Instead use warmer colored lightbulbs, as well as lamps and fairy lights to give your room a warm comforting feeling. Bonus lights if they're dimmable!
2. Keep your space clean and organized. A cluttered room=a cluttered mind, so it's important to take time to make sure your room is tidy. This doesn't have to be a daunting task, even taking 10 minutes a day to organize your space will do the trick.
3. Books! I personally love reading, and my room certainly reflects that. Displaying books in your room helps to give the space a cozy feel.
4. Create a reading/craft nook. I've found that having a space in my room dedicated to reading or creating art ensures that I do those things more often, and gives me a space to hang out in my room aside from my bed.
These are just a few ideas of things you can do to reset your room, but there are many different ways to make your room a more enjoyable space. Making sure that your room feels like you is important in making it feel like a safe space. Adding band posters, stuffed animals, or artwork are all ways to personalize your room to you.
Diet & Exercise:
It's very difficult to feel your best when you aren't properly nourishing your body. In order to feel refreshed after your reset, you have to treat your body with care and respect. Some ways to care for your body are:
1. Consume a wide variety of whole foods and minimize the intake of heavily processed foods whenever possible.
2. Create a regular exercise routine. This can look different for everybody, but some examples are going for a morning run every day, doing a 20-minute yoga routine before bed, or taking a weekly exercise class.
3.Include foods that stimulate your brain in your daily diet. Some of these include blueberries, walnuts, fatty fish such as salmon, and leafy greens.
Taking good care of your body results in feeling rejuvenated and empowered, both of which are crucial for embodying your best self.
Pick Up a New Hobby:
Sometimes all you really need for a fresh start is a new hobby to focus your time on. Finding a creative outlet that you enjoy can be just the right thing to get you out of a rut. Some examples of a new hobby could be:
1. Journaling (Go all out! Getting all of your ideas and thoughts out on paper is an amazing feeling, and I've found that it's even more enjoyable when you add stickers, artwork, pictures, and more!)
2. Baking- it's therapeutic, easy to start, and leaves you with delicious treats.
3. Start a blog, online journal, or vlog. Sharing pieces of your life can be an amazing way for you to express yourself and inspire others at the same time. I know this one can be scary, but remember that it doesn't have to be perfect. You can learn as you go!

adorable!! this is so inspiring❤️
