Energy Givers: 15 ways to improve your day

As we anxiously await springs arrival, it's easy to fall into a rut during these cold February days. Everyday starts to feel the same, schoolwork piles up, and we start to wonder if the sun will ever come out. Although it can be tough, there are many ways to break out of this cycle and boost your energy- whether that's something as simple as stretching in your room, or something bigger such as hosting a dinner for your friends. There are hundreds of ways to liven up your day, and these are some of my personal favorites:
Drink a big glass of water with lemon
Go for a walk! Enjoy the sunshine if its out, or bundle up and enjoy a peaceful, chilly
stroll around your neighborhood
Listen to your favorite songs and just dance- I love Jack Johnson or The Lumineers when I want to cheer up
Make a matcha latte and put on lip balm
Paint or draw- it doesn't matter whether you're any good or not
Call a friend or family member
Read your favorite childhood books- I love re-reading the Toad and Frog books, as well as Strawberry Shortcake
Do a youtube yoga routine in your room
Practice a new hobby (ex: playing guitar, knitting, writing, jewelry making, etc.)
Go to your local bookstore, buy a new book, and then read it at a coffee shop
Create new playlists/ Pinterest boards
Declutter your space- this can include your room, your phone, or even your mind
Try out a new recipe
Write lists and thoughts
Choose a topic that interests you and research
